Sunday with the Supremes

Supreme Char -- Pennsylvania, USA
Blog --  Cloth Stitched

1. Tell us a little about your neck of the woods -- how long you've lived there, something unique or interesting, a favorite place to visit?

I live in Hatfield Pa. It's a very small town approx. 30 miles outside of
Philadelphia. I've lived in this area since 1989. Believe it or not we are famous for Hatfield Meats!  Hatfield bacon. chops, ribs, sausage anything pork.

 2. Do you remember a favorite article of clothing, outfit or accessory from childhood, any age, that you'll share with us?

I'd have to say my favorite outfight was my gown for the senior prom. I made it of course
and by that time I had attended 4 previous proms and was running out of ideas. I made a black velvet halter gown with a short jacket. The jacket had round rhinestone buttons that I searched for in the fabric district in South Phila. It was trimmed with a white satin ruffled collar and cuffs. Istill love it to this day. It made me feel very special!
3. Other hobbies -- weaving, roller skating, skydiving, rollercoaster riding, lion taming, stamp collecting?

Besides everything fabric I love to crochet and embroider. In college I made a few bucks embroidering flowers on jeans. (it was the 70's)

4. What fabrics, prints or colors make your heart go pitter pat?

Like Stephanie I do like dots. Paisley is my other love. As far as colors go anything aqua or lime!

 5. I like food -- do you have a favorite food -- either one you make or love to eat anywhere in the world?

I'd say chicken curry or actually any curry would be my favorite.
6.  If you have a bucket list what is the first thing on it either as a personal goal, quilting/crafting project you want to make, or maybe a place you've always wanted to visit?

As far as travel goes I hope to visit Australia one day and Santa Fe would be nice.  One day I'd like to make an applique quilt with lots of colorful flowers and hand embroidery.

 7. Do you have a favorite poem, story, character, movie, or song you'd like to share with us?  If so, will you tell us a little something about it?

My top 2 favorite movies are The Last Emperor and Once Upon a Time in America. Not as much for the story line just because I like period pieces.

8. Which do you prefer -- sunrise or sunset?

Definitely sunset!
9. What is your favorite month and what makes it special to you?

October, I don't do summer. I love when the leaves turn color  and the air gets crisp! I got married in October!
10. Are you more of a "finish what I start" kind of gal or "variety is the spice of life" type of crafter?

If you saw all of the WIPs I have (fabric and yarn) you'd know the answer is variety is the spice of life. I do get around to finishing most things eventually.

Thanks Char for playing along.  I hope everyone is enjoying the interviews as much as I am.  Just a few more to go.

~Piecefully, Stephanie
