Q is for Quilt

Well of course it is!  In my stash I had an adorable ABC panel.  I'm not a big fan of panels but I love alphabets.  This one is blues and soft greens so of course it spoke to me.  I bought it at the NQA Show held each year in Columbus, Ohio.  Every June I went with a dear friend.  Sadly she lost her third bout with cancer just over a year ago.  She is missed.  She had an infectious laugh.  But I remembered her fondly as I sewed this panel quilt.

The selvedge was still attached to the panel.  Guess I probably had it longer than I thought.  Anywho...I did a little sewing this weekend.  Did you?

Alphabets in quilts and in cross-stitched samplers are such simple pleasures :) It's hard when you have a standing tradition and you loose your happy partner in crime. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, but you have a wonderful way to remember her through your sewing. 'R' is for Remembering ;) Take care Stephanie, Wendy

I am not a big fan of panels, either, but that one is cute with your added stitching. And what a dear memory for a friend.

How adorable. I love that colour combination.
Not much sewing done here over the weekend.
I managed one small zippered pouch from a Norwegian pattern. I became quite good friends with Google Translate :)

It's such a nice thing to be stitching and having nice memories of your friend at the same time. I only seem to go for alphabet panels too.

So sorry about your friend.
Hopefully this cute ABC panel will remind you of her and stir up happy memories. :)

I did finally get to finish a sewing project this week that I've wanted to do all winter. Yea! A feeling of accomplishment.
